Default Some new photos

Went away for a few days last week to Portmadog in North Wales. Took lots of fotos but no prize winners.

Anyway, here is a small selection as the scenery is very nice to see.

This one shows the eerie sea mist which came rolling in - really good it was.

Very nice shots there Steve. I especially like the no. 1 with a great DOF.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to cast my somewhat uninformed vote for #3.

The view is spectacular in any situation, but in my opinion, the blooming flowers in the foreground really make the shot. The penninsula looks very interesting, like something you'd love to go walk around on and explore.

My god that's beautiful country! Good job.

Jim

BTW, Steve, I've been checking out some of your other Webshots as well. Nice!

It is great walking, the beach around the corner runs for 2 miles or so and eventually goes to Criccieth where the castle is. We walked from here to criccieth and back - great walk on a wonderful sunny day. Behind the view is of mountains.

Hi Steve, I am referring to Paris10 and Paris11

I had a similar pic on that Paris10 but not at night. And I was on the left side of the road... (too tired to cross the road) hence there were some light polls blocking it :x

That Paris11 must be a difficult shot ?

I was surprised to see either come out ok as they were both hand-held using slow shutter speeds with a simple Fuji 2600 P+S digicam.

Amazing isn't it ? You must have a pair of steady hands

It was a waste that I did not try the night shot when I was at Paris... (we drove in from Germany).

I use the camera strap. Push the cam out until the strap is tight, I then use good gun shooting technique (I shoot regularly).

Gently push the button, not jerk it like so many do with guns - seems to work.
