hope you dont mind just upped the saturation and contrast and toyed very little with channels... interesting shot with the boardwalk leading you into the picture also did some highlight shadow work to semi repair the blown highlights

regards

thanks for helping me out, looks great. i don't mindat all. that's why i'm here. this was actually a film foto taken on plain program mode scanned in to my computer. not real familiar w/ ps yet. some day i'll venture further into it. i did print this out in b&w and hung it on the wall. please feel free to take a gander at my other fotos. i believe the others are all from the canon 20d or nikon d200. i have been trying different ways of shooting. i have lots of fotos, but of course they are not at pro level. i enjoy photograhy, but am still quite the beginner. i am contemplating close-up lens, but not quite sure if they will do what i am hoping. any suggestions.

It's a good photo but a bigger size would be better. log, I think you've saturated the wood colors a bit too much (too redish). Here's another attempt...

That photo brings back a lot of memories for me. In February of 1987, I visited a very dear friend in Sebring, and we went to Highlands Hammock for an afternoon. We walked that boardwalk and talked about anything that came to mind, and it was just so nice to be in that place with that person on that afternoon--it was as close to a perfect day as I'd ever had.

Sherry passed away in November 2004 at age 43. Every time I see a boardwalk through a park, I can't help but remember her and her kind, sweet, quiet personality.

i have 2 cameras i shoot with now. the fotosi have on this forum are from my canon 20dand my nikon d200. i would have to look at the info on each foto to tell which is from which camera. the foto of the boardwalk was taken with my film camera, canon 7e. had it on auto program, guess it was too bright out and blew the foto out of color. not too familiar with the internals of the cameras yet. just like taking fotos.

hi tom

thank you for the comment. that's why i go to the park. it can be as serene as a person would want. with each and every visit, i see "more" of the park. actually, i can see alot of the park in my yard and surrounding lots. i live in lake placid, fl in an undeveloped area.
