So, are they all sunrise photos, John? We are so accustomed to see dramatic sunsets here that I almost forgot about the sunrises. All are great, but still, I'd agree with gary about the charm of the second one.
Btw, you must be an early riser like me, even an earlier one. Good for you :-)

Thanks all.

Bahadir, yes they are all sunrises. Seeing as I was on the East coast, it seemed appropriate to concentrate on sunrises. I agree with you both - #2 is my favorite without question. I pulled out my 100-400 to get a closer shot while the sun was working through the clouds but the lens had not yet become accustomed to the humidity and so was fogged up. 20 minutes of waiting for the sun to rise and I forgot to take my other lens out of the pack and get it acclimated

Still, the most important thing to me was taking time to just enjoy an unobstructed view of the sunrise while there in the mornings. The fact that there was myself and 1 or 2 sunrise beach walkers made it even better. For some reason getting up at 5:45 am on vacation and walking down to watch the sunrise did not appeal to my wife - I can't imagine why not .

Thanks all for the comments

Nice ones. Must be a terrible lonely feeling to have a spot like that "almost" to yourself:-)
