Several shots to show what unfolded this evening. Was outside with clear skies and not a cloud in sight, then went inside for a few minutes. Went back out and saw this had approached.

Shortly it turned to this. I believe these to be altocumulus clouds

Then the sun lit it all up. I just wish I could have captured the real brilliance of what I saw.

Thanks squirl and Bob for looking. It was definitely a WOW scene in person, something I have rarely ever witnesed. My pic didn't do it justice.
