Default View from 35,000 feet

Just flew from Chicago to Los Angeles and decided to take some shots with my Minolta S404 35,000 feet up in the air. The first photo shown is a snapshot of what I believe is the Sierra Nevada range with a dusting of snow, and the second shot is a shot of the Grand Canyon.

These wont win any awards but I was surprised at the clarity of the mountains. The Grand Canyon shot suffered from too much glare from the plane window.

I like those, I rarely get to see pictures of the earth from that high up

Or anywhere close to that.

Very nice shot. Especially the first one with the white mountains. I like that.

Why not try adjusting the LEVELS in an editor - you can easily remove the "foggy" look (comes by shooting out the windows), that these shots have (I've tried it myself several times, and you can almost get natural colors). You pics deserves it.
