An amazing sculpture(?). I'd hate to have the job of cleaning off the seagull poop. The night time shot is striking.

Cheers,
Ollie

Hello NHL!

A very interesting and striking set of photos indeed. It's a lovely composition you've caught - both shots.

It took me a few seconds to see the seagull flying past in the day photo. The colour is natural. The night photo's lights and buildings look good reflected (maybe just a tad too warm)... I'm glad you tried a different angle at night compared to the day, just to show the reflection possibilities.

My only question is WHERE ARE YOU? I was searching in the day and night reflections for the famous NHL, but I don't see you.... I thought especially it would be possible in the day photo. Were you using a super telezoom lenses (very likely a Sigma right? :blah According to the exif the zoom was only 41mm... so...? Or was a bit of cloning responsible for this?

No Cloning...

Actually I was in the picture, but too far out for you to see with the EF 28-135 IS USM for the day shot. In the daylight picture I was @ the edge of the white concrete terrace (which showed how big this "bean"sculpture is)

In the night picture, I was laying down on the concrete shooting upward with the 12-24mm Sigma's super wide (increase the brightness and you should see me lying in the shadow area of the reflection!)

NHL, thanks for revealing your whereabouts!

I could see from the two photos this "bean" is really huge! It's interesting to see where you took the photos from, it helps get a perspective of it.

As always, thanks for sharing some interesting photos.... it's a pleasure seeing your photo work.

Best wishes

Paul
