Greetings Bob!

As I've said before, you are a fantastic landscape photographer. And indeed, this image is a beautiful capture of special light. Truly a 3D feeling. Lovely mix of colours, (high)light and shadows as well. I think that's what gives this photo so much "punch" and why so many people are telling you it's so amazing... truly it is!

I agree, that often the most special and unusual light presents itself in "unsettled" weather, so then we have to be a bit brave (or sometimes stupid!) to try to capture these unique opportunities. You did so well here.

Thanks for your feedback about camera settings and ACDSee. (it's a lot quicker on my slow old computer than Photoshop!) I've used ACDSee a lot and I would love to have a shadows / highlights tool in it, so maybe it's time for an upgrade!

Thanks for sharing... keep on posting! "And enjoy the light".

Paul

Wow, that's a beauty! A great job as usual, Bob. I always strive to take pictures like this, but my efforts are pale by comparison. Exceptional!

Thank you toshi, I appreciate your kind words! I really take more bad photos than I care to admit, that is why I enjoy coming here to share and learn. I have learned much from everyone here, and hopefully my good to bad ratio will continue to improve!
