It's a beautiful morning here in Indiana, cool crispand a hint of fall in the air. I tried to capture the quietness I could hear standing on this bridge watching the light play behind the clouds.

That's a great composition, Bob. I love the symmetry of this shot, and the peaceful feeling it conveys. Very, very nice indeed! I very much admire your talent.

Thank you Toshi and Don! Toshi, I sincerely appreciate your compliment, I 'm like most of the folks on here, I just love photography, it is what I do with all my spare time. I have to thank many of the people on these forums for the things I have learned, and toss in some luck that makes me look like I have more talent than I really do. One of the things I really enjoy about the forums is watching how peoples photography skills grow over time, this is a cool place to visit and learn! Thanks again Toshi!

Bob, I like the photo a lot. It seems to have a very tranquil effect on us all!

For some reason I don't know why (maybe showing my ignorance) I feel that this photo looks quite post processed... but I might be wrong. It looks like there is a lot of subtle colours which you managed to bring out, and aspects of the dynamic range look good. So could you let me know... did you do much post processing? (and if so, what?) I'm guessing maybe you used exposure bracketing and layering?

Also, I'm not sure why, but for some reason the brightest part of the clouds doesn't seem to reflect so brightly in the lake (I seem to miss that "contrast" / focal point in the reflection). Is that just the angle of the light / sun / clouds, etc?

But no matter, it's a lovely photo and you've done well again. I'm so glad (like you) these forums are a great way to learn and share.

Please keep sharing I admire so many of your photos.

Good morning Paul! Here is the original RAW image resized for the forum. I use the free version of RawShooter essentials 2006 to process my RAW images. Ispent about two minutes processing this image, no bracketing or layers, I just cropped a bit, resized, lighten the exposure, curve adj boosted saturation a tad, adj white balance and sharpened just a bit . As to the reflection of the clouds in the water not being as bright as the sky I have no answer other than what you suggested.
