I finally had a chance to try out my new 85mm f 1.8 lens outdoors last week. We went to South Carolina and it was nice enough play outside. Here are some shots of my daughter and one with my daughter with her daddy.
C&C welcome and appreciated. 1. ![]() 2. ![]() 3. ![]() 4. ![]() 5. ![]() 6. ![]() 7. ![]() 8. ![]() 9. ![]() |

Beautiful shots. I especially like her face on #7...just adorable. Where in SC did you go? I grew up down there.

Thanks gadgetnut. We went to Mt. Pleasant (approx 20 miles from Charleston) to visit some friends. The weather turned cold our 2nd day and stayed that way all week . I was really looking forward to getting some ocean pics but it was so cold and windy we only stayed for about 10 minutes.

Afayec, you have good subject isolation with that lens.
A minor quibble will be pictures fiveand eight: the distance from the top of her head to the frame is a wee bit too much. :idea:Other than thatit'sa job well done. Really nice pictures. Well composed. |

Thanks for the input. I have a hard time deciding which ones I like best b/c I love them all when they are of my daughter
![]() Andrew, I'll try cropping out what you suggested and see how it looks. I love the shallow DOF I get with this lens. It's great to take photos with. Thanks for looking Angela |
