My son Jack got up this morning and decided he wanted a skateboard. Here he is with his body armour on ready to go. I've got a feeling we'll be making a few trips to the hospital during the school holidays. :-)

He's looking all clean and proud and cute. You'll have to post a photo or two of the after effects, though by the looks of all the armor, I doubt there'll be anything worse than a whole lot of dirt ona newly washed face.

I hope you're right Barbara, I don't fancy spending 6 hours in casualty. :-)

I think that he is well protected but that may not keep you out of the emergency room. Good looking boy.

Good on you, JackRussell for supporting your son's atheletic activities.

Great photo also, tack sharp and conveys a great message.

Of course, as a proud parent, you must lead by example.

In that regard, I am looking very much forward to your "next" photo:

"UK father and son go boarding"

And, a nod to our best friends, the Brits, as we begin to celebrate our Independence Day celebrations here in the USA.

Thanks gibson and digcamfan. I think you'll have a long wait before you see me on a skateboard, i'd definitely end up in casualty. ;)As for Independence Day, have a great weekend. :-)

I have a feeling he might become the new Tony Hawk!!
great photo, and good job for making him wear all the necessary protection.
No way he ll get injured like that, may be a few bruises on his bum. Just tell him to never chase his board down the street.

Thanks Pavaros. He has the Tony Hawk video game which is where he got the idea of a skateboard from.:-)

Jackrussell, cute son, neat skateboard, nice picture! I'm glad you got him all the appropriate protective gear. My son fractured both his wrists a year and a half ago when he was skateboarding - but he was bad and wasn't wearing his wrist guards...

Thanks geoffs, I'll make sure he wears the safety gear even if i have to glue it on. :-)
