I hear ya! I know that my knee problems are from short jumps from hovering helicopters with a heavy ruck on. Possibly from parachute landings, but more from jumping from hueys I think..

Yeah, the huey were not as bad as the UH-60. The slide rail gave you a bit of a step down, the blackhawk is a straight jump. And fastline really did not help either, as you do come down with some speed. At least with a chutte, the plf help out a bit if you executed it properly.
The back was form the ruck for sure. My back aches pretty bad on rainy days. The Nato soldiers always made fun of use, asking how we could fight having to carry that much equipment.

I was raised to always respect my elders. My problem is I forget I AM one when I am in a large group of "elders". I always feel I don't belong...
I think the problem with my generation is we were divided into two distinct groups. The hippies and the NOT hippies. I was NOT a hippie. But we all had one thing in common. Not many of us thought we would live to retire. We thought Russia would nuke us at any moment, so everything was crazy. na na na na na na live for today, don't you worry 'bout tomorrow hey hey hey hey...etc. ad nauseum. It was all about living for the moment. Unfortunately, some people still feel that way and they are now elected officials LOL Well, we got fooled. Reagan took care of the Soviet Union and the boomers all lived to a ripe old age, so far Ha Ha!

Beautiful portrait Robert, you done well.
Someday she's gonna really appreciate that grandpa was into photography. I have the feeling that she is going to have more then her fair share of pictures of herself. Don't forget to back them up.

Thanks Mike. This was basically a snap, but I bounced my flash off the ceiling. That always helps. I really need to set up a backdrop and get a few "seroius" ones before she's grown LOL
