Hi all. This is my first post here. Here's a few shots from the last couple days with my new Nikon.

ok first off a great set of images definatly keepers love the concentration in one :) all nice and sharp! which nikon was used (purchased) and lens did you use?

Thanks. Camera was a D300 and a 70-210mm F/4-5.6D AF.

Nice pictures.

I like the way you cropped number three (it's a portrait), but on image one, it would be better with more or all of the bike (it's an action shot).

Yeah, I know what you mean about the one crop. Unfortunately in that frame I cut off the bottom half of his bike. The way I cropped was the only way I found to salvage the shot. His look was just too cool not to try. :)

I hear ya. I hate when that happens. A photographers gotta do what a photographers gotta do. It is a worthwhile expression.

You think maybe you should crop it closer?

My thought too 9for what its worth) the expression is awesome....frame the helmet and the expression...and it wouldn't matter if he was riding a bike or a horse...
