Lola celebrated her eighth birthday on Saturday. I took way too many pics, and most were "binners". Oh, well...

Way to go mr. Family photographer.
Looking through these photos I can't help but try to piece your family together. If you don't mind me asking, who's holding Lola while she blows out her candles? Like you, I have a son (Ariana's dad) who has two daughters with different moms. He also married another extremely gorgeous young lady to be step mom in the tangled web he's created. It gets.complicated doesn't it? Bella sure looks like she's having fun. I enjoy watching her grow up through your photography. Another photographer grampa capturing his granddaughters life with photos. I can relate. I can also relate your sons girl frowning at you while you try to shoot her. I get the same faces when I point the camera at my daughter in law. Keep shooting Robert. The little ones just grow too darn fast.

Mike, that is Lola's real dad. He and Heather get along good, which is good for the kid. Here is a picture I took at Easter. From left to right, Steve, Bella, Lola, and Heather. Heather has custody of Lola, and Steve has joint custody of Bella, which means 50%. Good arrangement. Steve and Heather are not married yet, but plans are in the works. ![]() I can also relate your sons girl frowning at you while you try to shoot her. I get the same faces when I point the camera at my daughter in law. Haha! She doesn't mind being photographed, and she is always photogenic, I think. I may be slightly biased. ![]() Mike, nobody ever said being a grandpa would be easy, but we do our best. ![]()

I enjoy family photos, all too often we (I) forget to just take a family snap shot. For me not all photos have to be perfect to be well worth keeping. Never miss a chance to save a memory.

Absolutely. I 've been going through about 500 kodachrome slides lately, and I'm happy enough just getting usable files, not worrying about composition, etc. These slides date back to the early fifties, and, havibg lost both parents now, I'm thrilled to have them.
