yup, I use my wife as my tester as I learn the features of my camera and my hobby
![]() White balance is my latest skill im learning and this is a pic I got that I think is kind of nice. Any suggestions/comments are appreciated. image was much bigger so I made it a bit smaller for the forums. Gave it some small adjustments in PS and took away some of her skin imperfections but otherwise there she is! ![]() forgot to mention that is was done with my D50, 50mm 1.4 lens, iso 200. ![]() |

Very nice pic! I'm in the same situation, the wife and kids are my main subjects, and when they see me setting up the home studio strobes, backdrop and umbrellas, they run for cover! LOL!
White balance is a challenge. One of the things that I found that helped was shooting in RAW, and use Adboe camera raw to adjust things. PS can do a lot of the things, but you can change the color temperature, and many other things in RAW, and I think your images will look even better. Good luck, and keep up the good work! |

I don't know about the b&w. Her skin is so nice the color seems to me to work better. Either way its a great shot and you're a lucky man!

Really good shot but for me the only thing I would want sharpened is the eyes and then only a very small amount, the full sharpen does not help the shot in this case.
