Thanks, Steven! But I don't have a lot of choice, being the designated photographer..

One thing I will say about my mother in law is she has grit! She runs from nothing. She's a lot of fun.

Hi Robert,
I nearly missed these, Great stuff. 7 is fantastico! 11 is an amazing capture, the expressions say it all. 12 Like what you have done with the motion blur, really gives a sense of action.. I wonder if you have a digital photo frame, I reckon it would be agreat way to show off all your pics to the familly and a great talking point when friends come by. I have one and I find after a while of it cycling through the same pics It motivates me to take more and change the look. Your 28-300 sounds great Robert, I was thinking about getting a sigma 18-200 which I think is similar in range but was put off a bit by write ups, but looking at your pics I think it's a goer. must be great not having to change lenses and travel light. Mark

Hi Robert
I also almost missed this series. But great to see you doing a great job as the doting father/ grandfather - capturing these precious memories. The colours are superb, and also I admire what you've done for many of the compositions / focus. Not at all easy to do, but you've done well with the 36 you kept. I have done quite a lot of similar shooting of friends (and e.g. my brothers / sisters in law and my respective nephews and nieces). E.g. on a swing I would prefocus when the person is at the closest point and then take a few shots in a row, each time they reach that 'apex' Thanks for sharing. You have a lovely photogenic family. I particularly like photo 11 and 12, as well a good job (lateral thinking) on the overexposed-desaturated-conversion! Cheers Paul |

Thanks Paul, you are TOO kind, my friend. I get lucky sometimes. 36 out of half a million LOL doesn't speak loudly to my skill, but rather my perseverence, so which is more important? OK, both. Maybe I just have too much of one and not enough of another, so I have to work many times harder than some, to achieve similar results!
![]() Anyway, it'd the end result that counts, right? ![]() Thanks, Paul.

Thanks Robert for the info on the lens, Sounds like a good one for France where the sunshines alllll the time, but not good for here where it seems to rain alllll the time.
The saying here goes, If you can't see the hills it's raining, If you can see the hills it's about to rain ![]() ![]() Mark

Hello Robert, hope you and your family had a great thanksgiving!
I wanted to complement on your save of #7. Great outcome of an accident. I learned something there, and as you know I really like the "Art" part of photography. Well done series, looks like fun! #11 is a candidate for the POD contest!!!
