Not really photography related but it is art from a family member and I am seeking help in locating and getting a photo of the original.

This is a copy of a piece of art drawn by my uncle during WWII. It was written up as one of the most extraordinary pieces of art to come out of the combat zone and was printed in Life. He was unaware that the piece had even been found until he saw it in Life. It was originally printed that the artist was unknown but after confirming his signature it was credited to him.

I have never seen the original but I believe it is in an art museum in Washington. I own the copy but as you can see after being passed down its become quite ragged and stained. I was hoping that someone in that area will see this and maybe try to locate the piece for me and maybe take a picture of it for me. It will most likey be titled "The unknown marine artist of guadalcanal" but is sometimes called "stretcher party".
