I finally got my DSLR and took some photos throughout the last couple of weeks. I have a LOT to learn about all the functions I now have control of. I borrowed a film SLR and had no problems shooting in manual mode, I think I'm intimidated with all of the control I have with digital :?. Anyway here are a couple of shots of my daughter.

What do you think? I'm trying to learn, so please, comments/critiques are welcome and appreciated? I really like the playground shot, but wonder about composition? I sure wish she was wearing something more 'girly' that day. I shot bothin P mode with the 18-70 kit lens.

Your composition looks good to me. Simple background , focus on your cute daughter, nice story line ie; young child at the orchard.

he D70s is a nice camera. Thought about one myself.
