Good to see you posting after not being around for a very long time!!!

Really nice picture and you have a very photogenic niece. I hope you don't mind but I have done a quick edit to show what can be done to make it even better. I have sharpened the shot and then softened the skin and made the overall photo slightly warmer.

Looking to see more of your work soon.

Great photo and nice edit.

Mark1616 what steps did you take to soften her skin? I use photoshop.

Kenmck is the expert on this and if you dig back through some of his posts there are some great methods. I use Paintshop Pro and use the blemish removal tool as I find this allows me to control where and how much I soften. Very helpful around the eyes etc. I then use soften brush for other bits. The last step was to apply some unsharp mask (not too much) then selective sharpen on the eyes to give them more pop.
