Yes, I know. Watch the horizon. ;-) The groom is my first cousin's son.

All shot with a Sony DSLR-A700 (a.k.a., Sony Alpha 700) with a Minolta 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 Autofocus Lens from the audience. All shot cRAW (Compressed Raw) + JPEG. These are just some downsized, uncropped JPEG images. I'll "spruce up" some of the raw files for them later.

These are all at ISO 1250 (the Alpha 700 ISO speed is adjustable in ~1/3 stop increments, including ISO 100, 125, 200, 250, 320, 400, 500, 640, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3200, 4000, 5000, 6400). EXIF in images.

Jim, nice work for being glued to your seat, you got some good angles and did well shooting through the crowd.

The camera helped. The selectable focus points come in handy when shooting from the crowd. :-)

Jim

I totally agree with Mark, that you've done very well for a "member of the wedding day crowd" to capture some decent photos of your cousin's son's wedding.

I'm actually surprised you managed to have quite an isolating dof with that lens (Minolta 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5!) I was guessing it was more like f2.8 from some of the photos.

Indeed I can see the usefulness of having selectable af points!

Regards and well done.

Paul

JimC,

Very nice variation is face expressions

First feeling the seriousness of this special day

Then happiness

Then "business"

Lastly, now it´s done

Circle´s closed
