Default Working on taking portraits of my wife

Does this image work? Composition, PP glow effect, etc.

There were a few minor things in the image that I cloned out (e.g., fly-away hair, etc.).

Just wondering what the gang thought about it. Note that she had no idea I was taking the picture and was watching over the kiddos.

Thank you.

I have no idea what PP glow effect and composition are, but I think it's a great shot of her being unaware.

Thank you.

Here is an explanation of what I was referring to:

PP = Post Processing (modifications done on computer). And "glow effect" is a filter I applied to make the skin have a glow/radiant effect. It also bumped the saturation of her purple short to be a much brighter color.

Thanks again for looking and the kind words.

Do you mean a filter on a lens? On after on the 'puter?

I really like this shot.

Very cute young woman. Fantastic expression. (You're a lucky man!)

The overall photo seems a little soft, though perhaps that's intentional. The skin tones on the right side of her cheek extend out into the air. Is this from the glow effect or maybe part of the background?

This is a great picture.

Thanks everyone. Indeed, I am a "very" lucky man.

The "skin tones" out in to the air, is a side effect of the glow technique.

If you're curious about the plug-in, here is an overview: http://www.niksoftware.com/colorefex...mour_glow.html

And the product: http://www.niksoftware.com/colorefexpro/usa/entry.php?
