Default Some kids and family shots...

Taken with a Canon Powershot A590 IS (the camera I'm upgrading from), generally set on the in-camera "portrait" setting.

Taking into consideration the limitations of the camera, I'd appreciate any comments you may have on the composition

#1 - just a fun shot of my now-3-yo
#2 - closeup of my 5yo and a new creation
#3 - last year's Christmas portrait
#4 & #5 - pics I took as part of a photo shoot with the girls before Daddy deployed

#2 - DD and Grammie playing in the ocean
#3 - nephew relaxing
#4 - in the pool, I love the blues

#1 - I adore this picture of my other nephew, I just says SUMMER to me.
#2 - two blond girls in sunbeams
#3 - on the carousel... I think this would have been a sweet photo on a camera that could do it better but I was still impressed that it tried to do a DoF shot
#4 - I know the quality is bad but it's just a fun picture and if it were better quality I would totally try to sell it to the park owners. LOL
#5 - after a splash

Good Job, Kaaryn-

Informal Family Photos should be just that: Informal!
