My son, Robert, announced his engagement over Christmas . Here is the young lady of his choice, complete with ring!

The happy couple.

Any helpful advice about the photo quality appreciated. Photos taken on Olympus C-765 with some sharpening, etc and Neat Image. Also background in the second one selectively lightened.

A good snapshot. I would crop more off of the left side, to get their heads to be closer to the left third of the image. Also, both subjects have a little redeye. That can easily be removed -- either manually or with good add-ons or Photoshop actions.

Overall, very nice.

Thanks, Perdendosi.

I have followed your suggestions, and the result is below.

Red-eye reduction I found tricky because when I zoomed into the eyes, there were very few pixels to work on. I suppose I should have gone back to the original, unresized for posting version. Anyway while I was doing it I added a little more twinkle to their eyes, which didn't seem inappropriate :-)

I really like the first pic...it speaks of hope, of future...and, of course, your grandchildren to be :-)
