OK, this a bit rough around the edges as it was actually taken with a video camera in photo mode last year - sorry if thats considered cheating - you'll be pleased to hear I have moved into real digital cameras now.

However I do like this snap as it captures a moment - my daughter would fling her legs back to maintain that upward position showing tremendous strength for one so small. She's about 6 months old here if my memory serves.

I say it captures a moment because she no longer does this - in fact she only performed this trick for a week or so, so I'm so happy to have a photo of it.

Thanks digcamfam.

As a proud Dad I could bore you endlessly with photos of her but I'll spare you.

As you can also see from the Avatar (not my own photo I hasten to add) I am also a bit of an Easter Island fanatic.

I'm notthat great a photographer, but those statues seem to work enough magic to get plenty of decent shots - maybe someday I'll post some of those (although there's plenty of pics on the web and they are much the same).

Yes, weclome to the forums. I know you're going to like it here. If there's anything you want to know, just ask. There are no stupid questions. (at least there are none left now... I've asked them all)

Ok, so go to Easter Island and take the picture that no one else has taken. (that is your homework)

I took 11 rolls of photos and 5 hours of video on Easter Island when I went.

You'd think I could find something original in there - I'll have a rummage sometime!

BTW Tom, I know SW Ontario v.well - my wife is from Dresden and we visit often.
