My daughter got her eyes checked today and ended up needing to wear glasses. She apparently has inherited my astigmatism. I was hoping to avoid that..... Anyway, here she is, modeling them.

She's probably a little disenchanted with wearing them, but she looks great in them...My young lad went thru the same thing, eventually settled on contacts. Nice post...best regards,

She's actually doing better with them than I expected. I think she's just glad that she can see things without them being blurry now. She actually picked the frames out herself.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"On a side note, I am kinda surprised that I got as little flash reflection in her glasses as I did. I'm not sure if it was dumb luck, or that my cam did a pretty good job, or that I actually had the camera placed in a pretty good position relative to her face. I'm fairly happy with that, though. As many photos as I take of my kids, I'm gonna have to buy a couple inexpensive softboxes and a couple lights, I think. Although this was just a quick informal photo, I'd like to make the ones I take more time on look more snazzy, and from what I've learned watching Kalypso and Frank D., I think that's where I need to start.

Exactly. Those two are the reason I started shooting (female mostly) portraits, and tho I'm a newb, without realizing it I had the essentials right at my fingertips. Best of all, looking thru their posts, you will find lots of discussion regarding lighting, and other important factors and written in a way that reflects their love of the hobby and willingness to help. Any time you come across a resource like that it's a bonus. Best regards,

The right pair of glasses can look great on a girl, and it looks like Kelsey couldn't have done much better. Very nice.

Looks good on her. Glasses suck for sure, but atleast they'll help her and they do suit her.

Yeah, they really suit her.

Tell her she still looks pretty, but now she looks clever too!

Those actually look cute on her.

So... was it like this before glasses.... (shot with a Canon S1 IS at wideangle, manual focus at < 6 inches, F/2.8, aperture priority)
