All you had to do was ask! Well I would've anyway Tonto, drink the beer that is!! lol Sorry to hear about the diebetes. My soninlaw has had it for over twenty years and still hasn't come to terms with the reality of his situation. He's been a policeman as long as he's had the disease. Still does his job every day . I wish you the best Bob.

Thanks Dawg. I've cut back real hard on food and the weight is starting to fall off. I'm glad to hear your son-in-law battles back.I have a couple of friends who as soon as they found out they had it, they gave up, and consequently they are all but done for.

Tonto would never give up and I don't expect you to either. Tell your wife that if you don't behave to give me a call and I'll drive up and straighten you out.

Sorry to hear about the diabetes, it's a pain in the neck to deal with sometimes although things improve as time goes on and you get used to your own body.Having a drink every now and again wont hurt. My hubby was diagnosed 10 years ago at 35 as type one (insulin dependant) diabetic. He is allowed to drink but very small amount (he prefers whiskey which seems less of a problem to beer).

Hes gone through aquad heart bypass about three years ago as well. We dont know how long he had the diabetes before he found out so the damage was already done, he was near renal shutdown on the day they discovered it, his own fault as he never thought anything was wrong with him. Anyway he manages it really well now and tries not to let it rule his life.

figured i had to chime in here. i'm diabetic myself, insulin dependent, type 1, whatever you wish to refer to it as. either way it can be a pain in the arse, but i've gotta manage it well if i want to stick around this place called earth for a while. I'm 18 now, diagnosed in 2001. best of luck to you Bob, manage it well, and best of luck to your husband aladyforty.
