It feels like she's drowning in the bottom of the frame, trying to keep her head above water. She's wearing that building in the background like a hat, and it doesn't provide much contrast either. Also, the angle it not very flattering.

That's my take. What's everyone else think?

Well, if this were just for identity purposes....you know," look here's a shot of....." it would be mildly interesting. But, artistic appeal, technical merit, and ability to generate a story behind the pic....are lacking. There's enough to prompt the viewer to think "bet this would be a great subject...from a different perspective." The lighting is unbalanced, too much going on behind the top of her head, not the most flattering angle considering her eyes are gorgeous but outmanuevered by the focus on her nose. This lass could certainly project an image that would be remarkable if you experimented with a few different poses, lighting angles, etc. Best regards, thanks for the invite to comment.

mad_grll,

You are a fortunate man! :-)

I tweaked your pic just a little (crop, bumped up contrast, saturation) then tried in in b&w too (next post).

It looks like you are too close to her face....also I looks like you used a wide angle, try backing off and using a 85-100mm lens.

Needs a little neck room, and her nose looks a little big.

Best to back up and use a longer lens.
