I'm not really new to Steve's Forums but this is only my 3rd post. I feel like I'm just getting my feet wet with my Canon 20d. Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

The lighting is flat therefore the contrast is lacking. You might try a little contrast adjustment in PS. The shot seems soft as well.

Thanks for the feedback Widowmaker. I agree with what you said. When I first posted the picture I lost a lot of image quality because I screwed up resizing it. Also I used too much fill flash in photoshop. The only thing I notice now is it is a little noisy, but not toobad.

Is this cute kid day or something!!:-) He's adorable!! And yes, the second shot shows more of his character and put the colour back in his cheeks.

Don't be shy about posting. If you check out more shots you will see that we all have different cameras, different abilities and different ideas.

Be creative and free with your work. I'm sure anything you post will be of iterest. And don't forget that if there is a shot you are having trouble with that you can post it in extreme makeover and you will get some wonderful help fixing up a troublesome shot.

Keep posting!!

Nice shot, but I think it would have been better to show more of the boy (i.e., hands, shoulders). As it is, it looks sort of like a head without a body. Just my impression.
