Last time I posted a shot of my niece Lucy she was a baby, now shes a toddler of 19 months months who was sneaking these cup cakes off the table at her brothers fifth birthday party:-)

Hi there aladyforty! Lovely photo! I'd be very happy with a photo like that of a niece! I like the balance of b/w and colour for this combination, well done!!

Cute girl, but quite cheeky looking - with the cup cake and eager look in the eyes. I think you've done just right with the crop, but I'd be interested in seeing what the colour original looked like!

By the way, I like Albany (WA). I'm originally from Tasmania (Tassie, Launceston) and have been toWA / Albany and enjoyed my time there, also the beaches. Now I'm living in Romania and the only beaches they have here are 12 hours away by car.. and not 10% as nice as the worst Australian beach!

But anyway, life isn't just about beaches. I enjoy my work very much (missionary) and they have great mountains and many great photo opportunities here too!

i like the B&W version, nicely done...i LOVE the color original, so cute and imp-ish....either way it's a really nice capture.

thanks, she is cute. I never had a daughter (2 sons) but Im lucky enough to have a few nieces and a granddaughter.

Aladyforty, you've done a good job removing the piece of cake from your niece's lip. The colour one is an interesting original, but the B/W looks great too!
