My first attempt at selective coloring .... trying to decide if I should print this and give it to my niece as is, or can I improve it? Your thoughts appreciated.

IMVHO, no way. She's the one that is and should be radiant and drawn to, not the flowers.

I agree with the above post but it needs some noise reduction IMO and a lil unsharp mask, besides the color on the flowers looks blown out...But you did an awesome job with the composition:cool::cool: you might wanna try leaving everything in b&w but the bride in full color...show us when you have decided on a final cuz these are always nice shots to view and thanks for posting.

Thanks for the suggestions! If nothing else, I'm having fun trying to get some PS skills!

Congrats, uncle Drewaz! You have captured your niece Molly so pure and lovely in her wedding dress.
The second picture which has realized Tazzie's and wagaboo's exact suggestions seems rather decent. Still, you might select the bride and the flowers for sharpening so as to attain even more emphasize.

You might want to fix up the back of her dress too. She won't want rumours that she was too fat to fit in it :)

Lovely photo of a lovely bride.
