Hi, I recently purchased a Fuji S5500 (think it's known as the S5100 in the states?). I'm looking into getting a decent capacity XD card. Does this camera support the use of 1gb cards? I've seen an Olympus 1gb xd card on amazon that looks well priced. States it's compatible with fuji just not sure if the camera will take a gig.

thanks

According to the Fuji site, the S5500 is compatible with the Type M, 1 GB cards.

Just my two cents (pence?) worth, but I'd go with 2 512 cards instead of 1 1 gig. 512 is enough for 250 frames or 7 minutes of video as highest res. This way you have a back-up card incase you forget to take it out of your reader or, god forbid, it gets lost (the things are small enough!). Either way, good luck and have fun, it's a GREAT camera!:-)
