About to buy a Nikon D-300 and not sure what storage card/reader to buy for it. The laptop that I have does not have a firewire connection, only USB. I see 4GB and 8GB cards from SanDisk that appear as though they will work in the camera, but what card reader will work? I currently have an SanDisk Extreme USB 2.0 reader - will that work?

I will be taking underwater photos and would like a larger card so I do not have to download it more than once a day.

Thanks in advance

It should work, as long as it's got a CompactFlash slot. USB attached CompactFlash reader compatibility issues are rare with modern operating systems.

Stay with known and branded card readers. Will save those precious memories.

Made the mistake recently of buying a cheap card reader and almost lost a whole day's photos of a baptism.
