I think this will show what a newbie I am to Digital but I have now bought myself a card reader that will read my SDHC cards, Yay!!( see my previous post about this ).The question is ,if I go into "safely remove hardware option" on my PC it stops me from replacing the card with another as it has shut down my card reader, so is it OK for me to just pull my card out and replace it with another or is it harmful to the cards or the reader ??. I had to restart my PC to put the second card in.
Thanks . |

Instead of "safely remove hardware", try 'Eject". When you "safely remove hardware", you're telling the computer to forget about the card reader; 'Eject" just tells the computer to forget about the card.
Removing the card without doing one or the other can foul up the card.
