I'm looking for something I can write my photos back onto the card to take away with me. I've heard of writers, but never seen them and do not know anyone who has one.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I also have a problem with the sequential numbering on the smart media card in my fujifilm S602Z. Every time I download and clear the card the numbering resets - so if I download more than once in a day the new files overwrite the old ones... damned annoying... |

I know nothing about the S602Z, but I do know that some cameras have a setting where you can tell the camera to remember the last number used. You might check to see if this camera can do that too. Look at this link: http://www.steves-digicams.com/digi_...s.html#readers Steve's done some reviews of readers. Make sure you get one which will work with you computer. Some USB2 models are coming out, so you'll have to know if your system supports that or only has USB1. |

You might want to keep the last frame/picture on the card. At least on the D7's it would start from where the last frame (or renamed picture #) was on the card.
That's the trick that KCan has posted previously for folks who have accidentally reset their camera counter. ie the camera would re-count from anywhere the last count of the picture on the card is renamed to! |

Fine, as long as the software isn't deleting original files off the card, before you've checked they're OK on your HD!
