Hi,

I was wondering what the best and worst brands are for CF Type 1 memory cards? I own a Canon SD410 with a 32 mb card and need to upgrade to something bigger!

Sandisk and Lexar would be my top picks for CompactFlash media.

But, most cards will probably work fine in it.

I agree with Jimc but as mentioned earlier get FASTER transfer rate cards, this causes less problems.

Bestare :

Sandisk Extrem III

PNY 80X (really near in speed but much lower price)

Those 2 cards are really much faster !

Warning really skip old cards even low price and even sandisk because their speed is bad bad bad.

That's no use.
Writing speed depends greatly on how card will work with that exact camera.

For example with KonicaMinolta A2 basic Kingston is among the fastest cards but Kingston Elite Pro works so slowly that it's basically useless.

Add Lexar 80x to that list, mage.
(In A2 it's one of the fastest cards)
Also this kind camera can't use fastest speeds of better cards.
