Compact Flash to Memory Stick?
I am considering buying the following:
------------------------------------------------------------------- SANDISK CF-MEMORY STICK USB COMBO READER ImageMate Dual Readers provide the ability to write data to and read data from flash memory without connecting your digital device (digital camera, handheld computer, digital music player, etc.) directly to a computer. This device reads both MemoryStick and CompactFlash cards. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does this mean I can take pictures with my A70, transfer them with the reader to the PC, transfer them back to a Memory Stick, and view them using my Samsung DVD Player which has a Memory Stick slot for viewing pictures on my widescreen TV? Thanks in advance, James :D |
You can definitely copy files from CF to Memory Stick cards. The DVD player should be able to view them. For the best results you needn't bother shooting any higher resolution than 640x480 for TV viewing - no matter how big the screen is. The smaller 640x480 pics also load a lot faster in slow devices like DVD players.

Thank you very much for the answer!

Thanks!
I am aware of that. Actually, I did not choose the camera based on whether or not I could view the pictures on the TV. It just happens to be a bonus that I came across when looking for a card reader. When I saw the description a little light went on. LOL! And having it confirmed is great news. James :D |
