![]() Hello, I wonder if you can help me. I have an IBM 1Gb Microdrive which has become corrupted either while I plugged it into or out of my Medion Desktop computer. Now my camera (Minolta Dimage 7I) and my computer can't "see" the Microdrive. Help! I hope I don't have to ditch my expensive Microdrive. |

Check your purchase date.
May still be under warranty. IBM may just reformat or swap for a new one for you. Contact IBM ![]() |

don't bother contacting IBM. they have not been the manufacturer of the microdrive for close to 2 years now. Hitachi purchased the entire manufacturing of hard drives from IBM close to 2.5 years ago. they are the warranty agents now for any HD product labeled both Hitachi and IBM now. i can pretty much say that the 1 Year manufacturers warranty is up on any microdrive still having the IBM label on it unless you have a receipt for it within the past 12 months and still you would contact Hitachi.
