I would like to ask everyone who bought brandname digital storage devices (eg. Epson, X-Drive, Transcend etc.) if they have any experience with transferring non-still image files.

Most modern digital cameras come with "video" function, and these video files have extensions like AVI, MOV or MP4, which are different from the usual JPEG or TIFF still picture extensions.

I wonder if there is any problem for the storage devices to recognise and transfer these files from the camera/ flash card to the device?

I have a non-brandname OTG external drive (in fact an enclosure with self-installed 2.5" HD) that recognises and transfers ALL types of files, whether they are image files or otherwise.

Archos Gmini 400 (+propably other models) works also when you just select "show all files" setting.
