I am getting a DSC-M1 and now I am deciding what memory stick to purchase.
I am looking at a 1GB Sandisk Pro vs. 2 512MB Sandisk Duo Pro (can't find a 1GB in stock), which actually works out to be the same price. So here are my two questions: 1) Is there an advantage to getting Duo Pro memorystick for use with the M1? 2) What about a 1GB memory card vs. 2 512MB cards? I thought it maybe nice to have 2 cards for easier transfers to computer and being able to separate photos for different occasions. Thanks much, Eric. |

The DSC-M1 comes with an 32MB Memory Stick DUO card and can use any capacity Memory Stick DUO or Memory Stick DUO Pro card. The use of a Memory Stick DUO Pro card is required for recording either 640x480 or 320x240 30fps mode movie clips.
The Sandisk 1GB Pro is the full size Memory Stick and won't even fit in the M1. It must be the Memory Stick Duo or Duo Pro (faster)cards. |
