I have a Panasonic tz-1. You can tell by the 1 it is a few years old. The instructions say that 2GB is the max I can use. Also, it does not support FAT 32 forrnatted cards.

My question is, am I really stuck to using only 2GB cards? I was hoping that it was just a matter of what was out there at the time. Also anybody with suggestions for buying cards online.

Sorry. But, your camera model appears to be limited to 2GB Cards.

The newer Secure Digital 2.0 specification allowing for larger card sizes didn't come out until June 2006. So, most cameras designed before Q3 2006 are not capable of supporting larger cards. You can read more about the evolution of Secure Digital on this page:


As for buying cards online, I use newegg.com. They usually have great prices on flash memory cards. They're my favorite vendor for any computer related accessories, too (RAM, hard drives, graphics cards, etc.).
