I installed an internal sabrent 52-in-1 media card reader, and more than half the time it reads no disk even though the SD card is in the slot. If I shut the computer down for a while and then try again, sometimes it will work. Do you think the card reader is screwed up...could it be the SD card. The SD card cost more than the card reader. It's frustrating.

At least if you use safe removal with internal card reader is causes XP to loose whole card reader and not recognize it anymore. (because detecting device again would require detaching USB cable and plugging it back)
And rebooting computer is just what helps to it. So is it that? On the other hand whole "52-in-1" stinks quite badly... |
