Just my luck...I bought a Sony WX5, wich is doing pretty well so far, but I was only able to use the internal memory because it's not recognizing my Lexar Memory Stick Pro Duo (4Gb) that worked fine on my old Sony !
![]() I do have 2 photos on the card that I forgot to delete...could that be causing this ? ![]() I've tried inserting another memory card (1Gb) and it also wouldn't recognize it... What the heck is going on, this is so frustrating... ![]() Thank you for any help provided...

Without knowing much about the wx5, my first step would be to attempt to format the card in-camera. if that fails, i'd head back to the store.

Can you format the card(s) in your other camera, and then insert it (them) into the WX5 and have them work?

I tried searching with Google a few times, and odly enough, I haven't seen many people with this kind of problem...mostly just card-readers with problems, but I barely found 2 links with a camera not detecting the card, and they were on some small forums, with no answers !

Doesn't your camera take sdhc also? I don't see any description of how the camera switches. maybe it's auto. maybe there's a small switch?
edit: now i see there's two slots. sorry. |

I would try to get the photos out of the camera's internal memory using the USB cable that came with the WX5, and then contact Sony about a warranty repair or replacement.
