microdrive sucks battery life?
Is it true that microdrives sucks up battery life like there is no tomorrow?
How many picks can one take till the battery needs a recharge assuming lcd and flash is always on and always being used? Let say on a canon G2 |

In my own experience with the D7 which has it's own 'urban legend' regarding power consumption, the microdrive last relatively well. It all depends on each camera implementation of the microdrive idle/sleep mode.

I think it depends on the camera. Read the power consumption data for your camera.
Leaving on the LCD and flash will eat power way more than any difference between solid state and microdrive in any case. |
