Ok I think I misread the articles about the 4 gb hard drive and purchased one any way. I think what I should have purchased is the 2 gb hard drive as my e20n can not read fat 32. When I try to format this device no matter what I try I get the dreaded CF failure message. Does any one have any tips on the next move?

Things I have tried.

1. Format the unit using a card reader with a 32k cluster size using the dos command format J: /fs:fat /a:32k.

2. Format it under windows in a card reader using fat selection and the default parameters of unknown drive size and cluster size.

3. And Finally tried to format it while in the camera using the usb cable. It gets to almost the end and I get the message that it was unable to format.

Any one want to purchase a slightly used hitachi 4g micro drive?

Throwing hands up in the air.
