I have an Olumpus IR-300 with an Olympus xD 512 mb card. Recently, I turned on my camera and received a "Card Setup" screen which gives me the option to power off or format. I really want to find a way to get the pictures off of the card, so I don't want to format it. I looked on CNet to find some programs that help recover data. However, my problem is that my computer will not recognize the camera when it has the damaged card in it, so the programs that I have tried so far are useless. Does anyone have any advice? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. --Ben

Have you got a card reader?
That's your best bet for trying to recover the images. Here's a free utility you can use: http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/smar...htm?language=1 Here's one more (it's a command line program that's very good): http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec |

If your pictures are very important for you, there is a way to recover your pictures, but it's not cheap.
Take a look at this site: http://www.kurt.hu/datarecovery/recoveryprices They are one of the best (or maybe the best) recovery firm over the world. |
