I bought a Nikon D70 online from ExpressCameras.com and it's in the mail now. I was wondering if there was anything else specific that I should buy. THe package includes, a case, a cleaning kit, a tripod, a 28-300mmm lense, a 512mb card and a card reader. For this camera what kinda of memory should I buy for it?

well it comes with a 512 card which will get you started but it you are going to shoot in RAW format or even the highest resolution jpeg, it will fill up pretty fast. I would be on the look out for a 1 or 2gb card on sale somewhere, but would stick to ones with fairly fast write speed, 80x or more. Other than that, use what other equipment you have for a while till you get an idea of where your shortcomings are. The lens you are getting is a fairly good walk-around lens, not the fastest by anymeans, but will give you a pretty good range. After you shot with this equipment for a while, you'll know if you need a faster lens for low light or for sports, or a superwide for those big landscape shots. Or maybe you want to try some macro photography.
