This is the first that I have heard of PNY SD cards and I was wondering how they rated compared to the competition (Fuji, SanDisk etc.). The price for a 1 GB PNY SD card at Staples (the most convenient retailer for me) is $27 less than a SanDisk Ultra II and that's before an $8 rebate from Staples/PNY, which makes the final price $14.98!

So, are PNY cards any good? Is there any advantage to be had by going with Ultra II from SanDisk? Staples' PNY page.

CF PNY 1GB is very high consumption in standby modeor operating, compared with Kingston in identical condition. I tested on my PDA.

That's nice to know. I'm going with Lexar's Platinum II SD for my Canon A630.
