Default all eggs in one basket... or not

Just for kicks, I wanted to find out how many of you prefer a single large card, or have pictures spread across more than one card.

I'll go for one large card... with me I have more chance of misplacing the smaller cards.

As for all eggs in one basket... I already backup all my cards (including microdrives) to a single portable MindStor during my trips!

I figured most users here in the board didn't have the same requirements as fewer of us. I do wish I had two 1GB cards to be able to shoot more NEF's, but that'll have to wait

Personally, I want 2 reasonable sized cards and portable hard disk storage to dump the pictures into.

I haven't purchased the separate card (or the portable storage) yet. But I expect I will.

Back when I only had a 256MB and a 320MB I used to lug a laptop around to work. As one one would fill up I downloaded it to the laptop while I continued shooting with the other. Now with 1GB I leave the laptop at home. But this past weekend I ran into a situation where I shot more than all my CF's could store, and didn't have my laptop... solution, delete, delete, delete to make room Maybe with Lexar's intro of that 4GB CF the 1GB will come down in price

I'm using multiple 512's and dump to the laptop when I get a chance, so I guess everything ends up on one HD for a while anyway.

Need to get a burner in the laptop I guess :P

Can't wait for the 4gb cards to become reasonably priced.
Just hope the camera can use them.

does the 5400 support FAT32? i checked out the tech specs and there was no mention of it. if it doesn't it will only show a max 2GB on the card. a 2GB card is a little over $515(w/rebate) these days making 2 of them cheaper then 1 4GB type 2 card.
