I lent my 1gb sandisk ultra card to my father-inlaw and he used it to take a bunch of photo's of his Alaska vacation with his canon. He doesn't know how to get the pics onto his computer. Now I am 99% sure I can put the card in my Konica 7d and put the pics on my computer. But something Is telling me just to ask incase that 1% chance I mess up his photos! So anyone see a problem?

I don't see a problem either.

My Uncle's Olympus pix are readable by my Nikon. If you can put the card your father-in-law shot into your camera and see the pix, you should be able to get them into a computer without incident.

So saying, if you have a card reader, it might be better to indulge a bit of paranoia and use that!

I'd really strongly suggest a card reader.
