Can I take a memory stick with photos on itto a photo printing place & have them print it for me?

Probably. Many stores have kiosks now with card readers. I'd call them and ask.

Personally, I just upload them to my local walgreens via http://www.walgreens.com and pick them up later (usually I get an e-mail letting me know that they're ready after about 30 or 45 minutes).

It's very convenient for me to print that way, since we've got a Walgreens on the corner leaving our subdivision. I make sure to crop them to the correct aspect ratio (ratio of width to height) for the desired print sizes first.

No Walgreens in Canada I'm afraid but you might be right, I'll ask at the photo shop.
