I am new to SLR but willing to learn. I purchase my D40 since Sept. And take time learning how to use it. Very interesting and the picture come out better than my point and shot camera.

I am using a regular 1G Kingston SD card now. And I was planning to get some more memory. When Isearch I see so many different one like Ultra II,III, platium II,III,Extreme III, SDHC class 2,3,4,5,6...etc.

Wonder which type I should look into and which one is better or there is no different at all, even I using a regular type ?

Thanks !

As a rule the premium cards in any product line offer greater speed, both read and write. Rob Galbraith's website has a performance database that should answer most of your questions about suitability: http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/mul...e.asp?cid=6007

Make sure you buy from a reputable dealer, there are many stories about counterfeit cards on the forums.
